Jquery is catching on quickly; it makes animating things on the Internet relatively easy. And since you’re linking to a library rather than writing the code, it should save time. I created the JQuery Tutorials section of this web site to further develop my own JQuery skills; I hope you find it useful! Click here to go to my JQuery page.
Adobe Lessons and More Quizzes
I expanded my tutorials to include Adobe products; my first batch is on Photoshop Elements. You can learn how to create banners, curve photos, and also crop a person out of a photo. Because of the popularity of my first self-grading quizzes, I’ve added several more, including quizzes for JavaScript and Word.
Online Quizzes Added
As I continue to add tutorials, I realized that I was missing an important aspect of learning: Assessment! So, I’ve started to add self-grading quizzes to the tutorials. There are now 2 quizzes on the HTML section; be sure to check them out and see how you do! I’ll be adding more as time goes on… next on the “to-do” list is to create JavaScript quizzes!
New PowerPoint Tutorials Added
I added several new PowerPoint tutorials today. The most recent tutorial deals with adding transitions between slides. This is a great way to make your slideshow advance automatically which is important if you are creating a “stand alone” presentation that just continuously runs.
WordPress
WordPress is the industry leading content management solution. It allows users to create feature rich blogs and web sites without intense coding knowledge. Technology Tutor Today runs on WordPress, so I figure it makes sense to create tutorials on how to create a WordPress site. These tutorials assume that you have a domain name and a hosting provider that allows WordPress installs. (Network Solutions and GoDaddy both allow such installs)
